British Columbia Unclaimed Property Act
The Unclaimed Property Act of British Columbia requires Equity Transfer & Trust Company, as a holder of unclaimed property,
to make reasonable efforts to locate and notify the owners if their last known address was in British Columbia and the
transaction happened after July 1, 2000. If our efforts are not successful, then the owner’s name and the date that
the property became unclaimed will be added to our confidential database. If you would like us to check if we are
holding unclaimed property of yours, please send a request in writing together with information establishing your
identity, a description of the property and your interest in it to the address below. We will notify you of the
results of our search within 4 weeks from the date of receipt of your request.
